Aaron Lewis: Seeing Limp Bizkit & Korn Again Is Pretty Cool
Aaron Lewis from Staind talks to NME about reuniting with old friends at Download 2009. “I’ve always heard this is one of the best festivals in the UK if not in Europe,” Lewis said. “They didn’t disappoint this year either. The lineups for all the stages are amazing. To be able to see Limp Bizkit again after all these years is amazing. They’re like our parents in the music business. For Korn and Limp Bizkit and us to all be playing the same day is like a big family reunion. It’s pretty cool.” Watch the comments below.

Fieldy Discusses Solo Projects, Jaw Dropping Autobiography
Korn bassist Reginald ‘Fieldy’ Arvizu spoke with Australia’s Beat magazine about the band’s plans to work on solo projects after wrapping up their world tour and before beginning work on their ninth album. “I’m working on a project right now called StillWell, and I’m playing bass and guitar and producing, that will be coming out in less than a year,” Fieldly tells Rod Yates. “I’m also putting out a bass solo album, it’s like a jazz-fusion type of album.”
Also on the recovering alcoholic’s plate is a new book. “It’s like an inspirational autobiography,” he said. “It’s going to have pictures from my childhood through my teens until now, and people’s jaws are going to be on the ground when they read some of the stories, people are not going to believe I’m still alive. I’ve led the craziest life ever.” The article at timeoff.com.au has since been removed.

Korn’s Jonathan Davis Discusses Solo Tour
Korn vocalist Jonathan Davis is currently out on the road for solo tour and it might not be what you’d expect. The 36-year-old rocker has been playing ‘Queen of the Damned’ tracks (the soundtrack to the 2002 film adaptation of the third novel of Anne Rice’s ‘The Vampire Chronicles’ series, which Davis wrote but didn’t perform on due to contractual obligations with Sony BMG) and Korn releases on the tour. Davis spoke with Artisan News Service about the trek. “Some of the shows there’s been chicks dancing in the aisles,” Davis said. “People that are dancing and just head bobbing. It’s a totally completely different thing then what Korn would be doing. Ours is a big mosh pit and people beating the sh** out of each other… This is more laid back, people having a good time and dancing. But it still has this dark vibe to it.” Watch the clip at YouTube.
