311 Make Emotion A Priority On New Album
Troy J. Augusto of CDNow.com spoke with 311 frontman Nick Hexum on the group’s new album they hope to release early next year. He says there will be a new emphasis on capturing the emotion a song. “We’ve always tried to play new styles, and to play very tightly,” Hexum says. “But as for emotional release, that’s not something that has always been a priority for us. Now we want to make some really beautiful departures. I just think as we play more that we’re expanding our musical vocabulary.”
