MuchMusic caught up with The Darkness bassist Richie Edwards – who replaced the ousted Frankie Poullain – and guitarist Dan Hawkins and asked how this year has been for them as individuals and as a band. “For me, as an individual, it was arguably the best year of my life,” Edwards said. “A) I suddenly found myself a member of a band that I liked anyway; B) I love all the guys in the band and C) they’re a fu**in’ successful band! How’s your luck, you know what I mean? So for me, it was a great year.” Dan added, “Me, it’s been tense. But not as intense as the year before. And it was very therapeutic actually. I’ve grown up a lot.”
