Eyes Set To Kill Cancel Tour Dates After Anissa Rodriguez Hospitalization

Eyes Set To Kill 2014

Last Tuesday while performing at the Aftershock Bar & Grill in Merriam, Kansas – Anissa Rodriguez of Eyes Set To Kill was taken to the hospital for problems with her eye. The bassist was later diagnosed with a blood clot behind her left eye and was hospitalized until yesterday when the doctor let her go home back to Arizona. Rodriguez will be on bed rest for the next couple of weeks. The band has officially cancelled the remainder of their tour dates in July as a result and hope to get back on the road and make up shows soon!

Singer/Guitarist and sister Alexia Rodriguez has released this statement:

Eyes Set To Kill must unfortunately cancel the rest of our tour dates in July due to the recent discovery of a blood clot behind my sister Anissa’s eye. I have witnessed my sister go through some painful procedures and I am thankful that I have had the chance to be by her side through it all. The doctor said she is going to need a couple weeks to recover and I will continue to stay by her side to help her back to health. We want to thank all the fans for their love and understanding. We also hope to make up for our cancelled appearances somehow, someway. This past week has been a scary journey but I am just happy I could be here for her through the most excruciating experience and we are both so thankful to have been reading all of the love from our devoted fans and family. I truly believe their prayers helped her spirits and sped up her healing process.

The band told fans via their Facebook page (@adrenalinemob):

We are sad to announce that the band has been in a serious accident yesterday traveling to Canada on the current A7X/Hellyeah Tour. The band & crew are pretty beat up but by the grace of God there’s no serious injuries & everyone is ok.
