The Black Crowes Launch Web Series ‘20 Years of Tall Tales’ August 3rd
‘20 Years of Tall Tales’ is the title of the web series The Black Crowes will roll out starting Tuesday (August 3), which is the street date for their first-ever double album of all-acoustic material with new arrangements of their best-loved songs and deep cuts called ‘Croweology’.
In a wide-ranging and freewheeling interview marking the 20th anniversary of their landmark multi-platinum debut, 1990’s ‘Shake Your Moneymaker’, frontman Chris Robinson talks about where the band have been and where they are now.
Throughout the month of August, the band will release one webisode per day via their website, blackcrowes.com, featuring the band’s highs and lows, the controversies, arrests, feuds and more. ‘20 Years of Tall Tales’ was directed and produced by John Vanover and filmed earlier this month at Robinson’s Los Angeles home.

Mick Mars Recalls Nikki Sixx’s Wild Night At Whiskey A Go Go
Motley Crue guitarist Mick Mars talked with Rockerrazzi about his favorite Sunset Strip memories. “It was the night before we played at Whiskey,” Mars said. “And Nikki, Tommy and Vince had been down there, and some guy was giving them a hard time or sime kind of crap, so Nikki decided to go outside and beat the sh** out of his Ferrari. So he did, and they called the cops on him, and they came to the Whiskey the next night, and I’m like ‘Dude, what’s up with your eye?’ He says we can fix it with makeup, so he put on a bunch of black makeup.” Watch the interview via YouTube below.

No Fun And Games On Off Days For 10th Concession
10th Concession checked in on their YouTube channel to describe a day off while on the road in Atlanta, where the band did some writing, recording, had a vocal rehearsal, and they worked on choreography. “It just goes to show that on a day off in our books isn’t just a day off,” Evan Koteles said tongue-in-cheek. “It’s all about bettering ourselves.” Watch how they kept busy below the cut.

Jimmy Eat World ‘Invented’ North American Tour
Jimmy Eat World just announced a headlining North American tour kicking off September 21st in Atlanta, Georgia. The veteran rock band will tour in support of their forthcoming new album ‘Invented’, which is slated for a September 28th on DGC/Interscope. Fellow Phoenix resident Courtney Marie Andrews, who sings backing vocals on several tracks on Invented will be joining the band on tour.
