Black Gold ‘Shine’ Video
Black Gold are out with the video to their new single ‘Shine’, off the Brooklyn indie rock duo’s debut album ‘Rush’, out now on Red Bull Records. The video was filmed in the California desert by director Josh Forbes. “The heart of the song is about a time in a person’s life when his or her faith is being tested in the most challenging way they’ve ever known,” band member Than Luu explained to Spinner. “In that moment, you pray for something or someone so bad that you’d be crushed if you were let down and reborn if you were not. The concept for the video speaks to this test of faith and the dreams that go with it. You’ll see imagery of friends and loves lost, hints of hopes and fears, light and dark.” Watch it below.

Over the past week or so we’ve been going through the mixing process for our new album and things are sounding amazing. (we’ll talk more about that soon) in other news we’ve been rehearsing everyday and with that said are so excited to announce our first shows of 2010. AFI Video Chat
AFI is inviting fans to submit questions about their new video for ‘Beautiful Thieves’, the song, their new album ‘Crash Love’ and/or anything AFI-related via facebook.com/afireinside. The band will answer selected questions during a live video chat taking place on 4:00 p.m. PST February 11. Fans can tune in then at their facebook to see if their questions are answered, while at the same time chatting live with members of AFI and fellow fans.
The February 11th event, hosted by livestream.com, will also feature the world premiere of a “Making of ‘Beautiful Thieves’”, a look at what went into making the newest AFI video featuring never seen before behind the scenes performance and interview footage.

Brian Johnson: Bono Should Do His Charity Work In Private
AC/DC frontman Brian Johnson isn’t impressed with the charity work done by musical peers like Bono of U2 and Bob Geldof, preferring to donate in private. “I do it myself, I don’t tell everybody I’m doing it,” Johnson told the Herald Sun. “I don’t tell everybody they should give money – they can’t afford it. When I was a working man I didn’t want to go to a concert for some bastard to talk down to me that I should be thinking of some kid in Africa. I’m sorry mate, do it yourself, spend some of your own money and get it done. It just makes me angry. I become all tyrannical.”
